The Beginning
Allison and Cameron have a beautiful original Hawthorn home that had a 1980’s extension at the rear, this part of their house needed a face lift and total re design , the brief was to keep the existing footprint and add another level with a balcony overlooking the back yard. The owners vision was to open up the rear of the house to overlook the new swimming pool and entertainment area having a modern but feel using some classical finishes.
The Result
This renovation and extension is highlighted with its rich Australian Spotted Gum Flooring that runs from the front door through to the back living area, it is complemented with the use of natural light using double glazed windows and sharp square set plaster lines. The kitchen is a well-appointed with stunning Marble bench tops and a kitchen design with practical storage and the latest appliances.
The swimming pool and water feature create an oasis of bliss in the middle of an inner city suburb adding to the complete transformation of this project.
